VIEW REQUIREMENTS

Students seeking licensure to teach secondary subjects (grades 9-12) must complete the minor and in addition complete student teaching. These components are designed to meet program approval standards established by the North Carolina Board of Education

Secondary Education (9-12) Minor (21 credits)

Complete all of the following (19 credits)

Complete ALL of the following Courses:

EDUC1100
EDUC2250
EDUC2700
EDUC3100
EDUC3101
EDUC3108
PSYC1500

EDUC 300* Methods course appropriate for subject area (2 credits)

Licensure Requirements

Student Teaching (12 credits)

EDUC 4500 Professional Leadership Seminar (3 credits)

Permission of the Teacher Education Council is required for EDUC 3100, EDUC 3101, EDUC 3108 , Student Teaching, and EDUC 4500.
